I used to practice yoga years ago, I stopped because of an injury, can I still take your class? This is a tricky question. This is where one to one meetings would be beneficial before a group class so we can discuss modifications. Every pose can be modified. And remember even simply practicing pranayama (breathwork) is practicing yoga.
Is chair yoga real yoga?Yes indeed, it is! In lieu of sitting on the floor, you sit in a chair. All other mat work can be done on the mat, the chair can also be used as a prop to use to help with balance if needed. All levels can benefit from chair yoga. It can also introduce new ways to practice yoga at your desk & while traveling.
My mother "needs" yoga, how can I get her to come to your class? I am more than happy to talk to people who are interested or even just curious about starting a yoga class. She (or both of you) can join in a class and just watch with no obligations!
